Bestop suggests treating the flares every month or so with rubber protectant (such as 303 Protectant or similar product) to maintain depth of color. CJ5 Note: Some early CJ5 models did not have fender flares as original equipment; these will require some drilling. Exterior rear lighting package, side-mount spare tires, side antennae or aftermarket roll bars may interfere with mounting the rear flares.
